All our speech pathologists are members of Speech Pathology Australia and participate in the Professional Self Regulation program. This means we participate in regular professional development to maintain and update our skills and knowledge. We all have Ochre (working with children) Cards. Franceska Edis is the practice owner and Principal Speech Pathologist.
Franceska has 25 years experience as a speech pathologist. She has worked with people of all ages in a variety of settings – rehabilitation, early intervention, aged care, disability services, palliative care, community health, hospitals, schools and private practice. Franceska is a board member of Health Providers Alliance NT, and was on the executive of the NT Branch of Speech Pathology Australia for many years. She enjoys supervising speech pathology students when they visit (or return home) from interstate.
Top End Speech Pathology provides services to people of all ages. Our services include assessment, therapy and training for a wide range of communication and swallowing difficulties.
We provide services at our clinic in Fannie Bay, as well as at schools, homes, and childcare centres. We also provide services to residents in supported independent living, Aged Care centres, and inpatients of Darwin Private Hospital.
If you are concerned about your child’s development, we can assess their speech, language, literacy, play and social skills. Hopefully we can put your mind at rest and reassure you that they are at or near the expected level for their age, but if not, we can help with strategies and therapy activities to develop their areas of need.
You do not need a doctor’s referral to make an appointment.
